Pretty Purple Cable Slouch Hat

Ok so I am horrible at picking names for hats LOL. I was watching the newest episode of Doctor Who and at the end Rose had this awesome slouchy purple hat. I immediately wanted one. I wanted mine more elaborate though. I already made a Cable Fae Slouch Hat so I figured I would combine the two ideas. Slouch with Cables. I usually don't model my own hats but I needed a new profile pic so I figured why not kill two birds with one stone lol. What do you think?

If you purchased this pattern and don't know how to do the *Cable Cross* Here is a link to a video that should help:
(Cable Cross: Here is a video I found on how to do the Cable Cross *it isn't really called that I don't think*)

I have the pattern available for $3.00 in My Etsy Store if anyone is interested.

  3. LOL I'm glad you like it :)

I lack the patience to make a scarf lol it sounds funny but big projects that don't have that much of a variation bore me. Here is a link for how to do the wave though http://www.ehow.com/how_5696542_crochet-wave-pattern.html

  17. You may not want to hear this, but if you create a pattern for anything, knitting, crochet or sewing, the person who uses the pattern and makes the item can do anything they like with the end product. They can sell it or give it away or modify it. This is copywrite law. This is why there is no copywrite on pretty much every type of pattern. If you look at sewing and yarn pattern companies, they don't copywrite patterns. The law is pretty clear in that what is the end result the "useful item" belongs to the purchaser or user of the pattern. This is why people are allows to mod their Xboxes legally. If you don't want anyone to sell your designs, then don't offer the pattern in any way. Because unfortunately there is no way to enforce what people do with your patterns. Legally o can take your pattern make the item and sell it. Personally i think it's morally wrong.

  18. Times have changed and pattern companies do copyright their patterns. I have had a consultation with a lawyer who has assured me that since I list what I will allow and what I won't allow for usage of my pattern that it acts as a terms of usage agreement. I have my terms stated on every pattern before purchase. If you buy my pattern you are agreeing to my terms. If you violate my terms then I have the right to seek legal action. I personally have moved past being mad about people selling the finished product. I don't mind as long as I am credited for the pattern but I leave up that I don't allow it because of the people who don't credit me in anyway.
