I have an obsession with cables lately so don't be surprised if my next few projects have cables. I made this the night New Moon came out on DVD and I wanted to wear it while I was waiting in line at midnight haha. What better than a blood red slouchy hat? :) Like I have said before, I am not good at naming things. Team Vampire seemed appropriate for the mood was in :) What do you think?
The pattern available for $4.99 at Annie's Attic.
I love this one! I crochet a little bit. I don't have the talent you have i wish i did. I know nothing about doing cables! love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your stuff! You are so talented and creative. Your daughter is very lucky. Do lots of stuff with her so she can learn from you! My mom was super talented and creative too and I blew it!
ReplyDeleteI need your creative talent. I'm into doing like a newsboy type hat with the front brim. On-line there's a pattern called "Drops Crochet Cap in Eskimo" and I like the basic pattern but would like to alter it a little. I want the wedges to be fuller and alternate over and under. On Reality TV there's a show called "9 by Design" and the husband has a hat EXACTLY like I want to make. The wedges alternate when seen from above with one wedge higher and the next under...almost like they pleated the edge. (hard to describe!) If you've seen it and know what I mean or have suggestions...I'd REALLY appreciate it!! It's such a hot look now that if you figure it out and sell it I'm sure you'd make a lot on it!
I'm sorry I have no idea what hat you are talking about
ReplyDeleteI made this hat. What kind of yarn did you use? I used red heart super saver, it came out kinda stiff and bulky, but looks OK. Nice hat - I love Twilight series!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if you could come up with a pattern for a Gypsy hat, like the one that is on Artfire? I would pay for the pattern. If you consider it, a picture of the hat is on Artfire website, filed under crochet hats, the name of it is Gypsy hat, there is a purple/blue one and 2 other colors.
Thanks, Linda
Linda: I don't know what hat you are talking about

ReplyDeletewhen you go to artfire, go to crochet, then type in gypsy hat. It is the blue and purple one with tails called teen/woman gypsy hat
ReplyDeleteI'm probably not going to make one but the design is fairly simple. Crochet a beanie until it reaches your eyebrows then chain enough for a tail then turn and crochet back around the hat until you get to your crocheted chain. Chain the other tail and from now turn your work instead of going around.(go back and forth forming your brim and tails) at the end you should have two tails. tie and you're all set.
ReplyDeleteHey! Just saw this pattern in one of my Annie's Attic e-mails. Nice job on getting a pattern published! (More or less.) Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty!!!
ReplyDeleteMy husband is currently starting to crochet your convertible hat. I was torn between that or the plain slouch hat.
I'm so glad I found you!
no longer available on annie's attic. could you make it available somewhere else please?
