Star Stuffie "Twinkle Star" Free Crochet Pattern

My Husband has been telling my daughter bedtime stories with a Twinkle Star and Rainbow Pony. So my daughter has been bugging me to make Twinkle Star. I decided to quit putting it off and make it. I have just been sooooooo busy lately. I plan on making her an Orange one for Yule. (her favorite color is Orange) Well here it is in all the Twinkle glory. I might put a face on it later if she wants one. I was thinking of the Mario Star the whole time haha I wonder if she would let me put eyes on it...Anyways, I might not be posting as frequently because I have to make a ton of stuff for Yule and can't post it until after the recipients have received their gifts but there will be a ton of stuff posted after the holidays.

  11. Hi April, I left you a message on Raverly as well. I was in need of a star pattern for a project I will be posting at www.tangledhappy.blogspot.com in Jan. Yours was perfect except it was twice the size I needed. Would you mind if I post the changes I made to the pattern with a link back here for the original? You can email me if you would like at tangledhappy@gmail.com. Thanks!

  17. The star is great! I do have a question though. At the end of each round, do we have to slip stitch before starting the new round? Thanks again, from Greece!

  18. Ioanna Valinou: No, do not ss before beginning a new round. You are working in a continuous round, if you do a ss at the beginning it would create a seam.

  21. Hiya, How would I make this smaller? Plz

  22. Hi Jennylong (and Sara), simply using a thiner yarn can be a solution!
I don't know the commercial yarns available in your country, or their sizes, or even how to tell a yarn's size (or needles for that matter, as the ones I inherited from my grandma seems to follow a senseless numbering).

So I picked the pretty light blue yarn I had here (I think this one is usually used for making light clothes), and started doing this star. It came out at 8cm tall, which is less than half the size April said it would be.

    Loved it! :D
I think it could be used to hang on a christmas tree (if you don't mind having smaller stars besides the one on top), and I have seen bigger keyring-things than this, so it probably could do too!
Or simply hanging anywhere in the house ^^

    Thank's, April!

  24. Thanks for the pattern. I want to make a bigger version of this....maybe like a star cushion.can you pls tell how to go about it...how to increase the size.

  25. The easiest way would be to use much bigger hook ( like 6 mm) and appropriate yarn for this hook, this way the pattern could stay the same. Let me know if you will try it and how it's going :)
